Position Overview
CNC Mill Programmer Operator
Program, set up, and operate CNC milling equipment to produce precision machined die castings while maintaining quality, troubleshooting issues, and supporting fixture and machine setup needs.
General Expectations
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mill equipment
- Write, test, and refine machining programs
- Translate prints and specifications into machine instructions
- Inspect finished parts to confirm they meet specifications
- Communicate with maintenance, supervisors, quality, and co-workers regarding machine issues
Requirements
What the role calls for
- 1 to 3 years of CNC mill program/operator experience required
- Ability to read and interpret detailed prints
- Strong understanding of machine tools, programming, and machining principles
- Computer skills required for programming and machine control
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability required
- Flexibility to work extra hours when needed
